These terms apply to the BrainPlay app and to this website. They are short on purpose. By using BrainPlay you accept them; if you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What BrainPlay is
BrainPlay is an Android app with short exercises for attention, memory and logic, made by BrainPlay. You can start without an account. An account saves your progress; leaderboards are optional.
Not a medical device
BrainPlay is not a medical device or a treatment.

If you are worried about memory or thinking, please talk to a doctor.
BrainPlay does not diagnose anything and does not replace advice from a doctor. Please do not base any medical decision on results in the app.
No promise of results
We cannot promise results. The exercises are inspired by scientific research, but BrainPlay itself has not been clinically tested.
Stars, scores, levels and the progress report show how you did in the exercises. They do not measure your abilities or any medical condition.
The APK download
Until BrainPlay is available on the Google Play Store, we offer the app as an APK file on this website. It is free of charge and provided “as is”: it may contain errors, and features may change or be removed.
Download the APK only from brain-play.hibatest.com, and compare the SHA-256 shown next to the download. Installing an app from outside the Play Store is your decision; you can turn the permission off again afterwards.
Fair use and leaderboards
- Use BrainPlay as intended. Do not manipulate scores, use modified versions of the app, play with automated tools or attack our services.
- A nickname has 3 to 16 characters: letters, numbers, spaces, dots, hyphens and underscores. It must not be offensive and must not contain contact details or links. The app checks this with a filter that cannot catch everything, so the rule applies even where the filter misses something.
- We may remove nicknames and leaderboard entries that break these rules, and close accounts that are used to cheat or abuse the service.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
Premium
Premium is an optional subscription bought through Google Play. It removes the ads and unlocks every level of every game. You see the price in the app before you decide. Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Google Play under its terms; you can cancel at any time in your Google Play account. Deleting your BrainPlay account does not cancel a subscription.
Liability
We look after BrainPlay with care, but we cannot guarantee that it is always available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage or for lost data or progress. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, for example for intent, gross negligence or personal injury.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when the app gets new features. We then update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters for you, we will tell you in the app or on this website before it applies.
Your rights as a consumer
These terms do not take away any rights that the consumer protection law of the country where you live gives you. The law applicable to you as a consumer remains unaffected.
